The 62nd Annual Grammy Awards Reveal their 2020 Nominations

One of music’s biggest events took place Wednesday as many anticipate music’s biggest night in a couple of months. Almost a week after the Latin Grammys, another award show revealed their top contenders for 2020.
The Grammys have unveiled their official nominations for their 62nd annual award show. Alicia Keys, who is set to host the Grammys, helped announce the nominees on CBS “This Morning” alongside host Gayle King and Bebe Rexha. The 15-time Grammy award winner is hosting the Grammys for the second year in a row making her the third female and first female music artist to host more than once. While there are 84 categories being awarded at the ceremony, Keys only announced a few of the most coveted awards and nominations.
It was a fantastic year for new and upcoming artists as Lizzo led the leaderboard with eight total nominations from her album “Cause I Love You,” including Album of the Year, Best New Artist and Record of the Year. Following close behind her are Billie Eilish and Lil Nas X at six nominations and Ariana Grande at five. Other notable nominees include Beyonce, Lana Del Ray, Tyler the Creator and Vampire Weekend.
Bon Iver’s “Hey, Ma,” Billie Eillish’s “Bad Guy,” Ariana Grande’s “7 Rings,” H.E.R.’s “Hard Place,” Khalid’s “Talk,” Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road,” Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts” and Post Malone and Swae Lee’s “Sunflower” all received nods for the coveted Record of the Year award.
